• The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) works with other governments to build up their strategies and programs to prevent the production, trafficking, and abuse of illicit drugs. INL publishes the annual International Narcotics Control Strategy Report. 
• The Drug Enforcement Agency is primarily responsible for enforcing the controlled substance laws of the U.S. by bringing individuals and organizations involved in the illegal drug trade to justice.
• The U.S. Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN) supports and strengthens domestic and international anti-money laundering efforts.
• The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is part of the National Institutes of Health, located outside Washington, D.C. in Bethesda, Maryland.
• The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) website provides reliable data on individual countries and regions, including the CIA World Fact Book.
• The U.S. Congress website provides access to the Library of Congress and information about legislation and individual members of Congress. It also includes links to most Committees, including the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the House International Relations Committee.
• The U.S. Department of Justice website brings together information from the American law enforcement community.
• The Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse (CCSA) is a national agency partially funded by Canada's Drug Strategy. The Centre promotes informed debate on substance abuse issues and encourages public participation in reducing the harm associated with drug abuse. It also disseminates information on the nature, extent, and consequences of substance abuse and supports organizations involved in treatment, prevention, and educational programming.
• International Crime and Terrorism Division of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada. Created in 1999, this Division works with a wide range of government departments and agencies to provide foreign policy coherence and leadership to Canada's international efforts that address the threats of crime and terrorism.
• Canadian Department of Justice. The main hub for Candadian justice issues.
• The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is in engaged in the enforcement of organized crime and terrorism laws.

• The United Nations main website gives an overview of UN activities around the world.
• The World Bank Group offers loans, advice, and an array of customized resources to more than 100 developing countries and countries in transition.
• The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is the oldest and largest regional multilateral development institution. It was established in December 1959 to help accelerate economic and social development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
• The United Nations Association of the U.S.A. (UNA-USA) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan national organization dedicated to enhancing U.S. participation in the United Nations.
• The United Nations Association of Canada (UNA-Canada/ACNU) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan national organization dedicated to enhancing Canadian participation in the United Nations.

• The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University (CASA) is a think tank designed to inform the American public of the economic and social costs of substance abuse and its impact on their lives. CASA's website also contains information on prevention, treatment, and law enforcement.
• The Partnership for a Drug Free America is a private, non-profit coalition of professionals from the communications industry. Its mission is to reduce demand for illicit drugs in America through media outlets.
• RAND is a non-profit institute that helps improve policy and decision making through analysis and research. RAND also has a drug policy research center.
• Join Together (JTO) is a think tank devoted to reducing substance abuse and violent crime. Funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and based in Boston, JTO's website provides information and ideas for community specific strategies.
• Girls Learn International is an NGO committed to advancing the education of girls. 
• The Suzanne Mubarak Women's International Peace Movement is a non-profit, NGO that's main objective is to enhance the conditions suitable for sustainable peace and human security.   It also works to stop human trafficking with it's initiative: End Human Trafficking Now!
